Orgatec 2018: The Increase of Workspace Design Solutions with Writing Surfaces and Office Noise Reduction
Orgatec is a bi-annual event that has already accustomed us to great ideas, and to be considered the showcase for innovation when it comes to workspace design solutions that fit the new perspectives of work. Orgatec 2018 edition was no exception.
The great news for ARCHYI. was that we have seen an increase in writing and office noise reduction solutions, as well as in multi-functional products that help assuring office and work flexibility.
Defining Trends for the Modern Working World
ORGATEC 2018 closed on the 27th October and was even more international, emotional and creative than ever. Addressing relevant issues and providing a whole sector with new sources of creative inspiration. “ORGATEC has successfully transformed itself from being solely a product showcase to an issues-focused business event,” said Katharina C. Hamma, Chief Operating Officer of Koelnmesse. And she added: “ORGATEC succeeded in firmly embedding the sociopolitical importance of modern working worlds in decision makers’ thinking”. ORGATEC 2018 achieved an increase in exhibitors and in visitors, hosting 753 exhibiting companies from 39 countries and attracting around 63,000 trade visitors from 142 countries (an increase of over 15 per cent). Visitors were mostly young decision makers and exhibitors showcased holistic concepts for the modern working world.
Flexibility and Multi-functionality at Work
In addition to the advancing digitalisation of the industry, this year’s dominant themes also included the trend for flexible solutions that adapt quickly and easily to individual needs. Companies are focusing on holistic concepts instead of stand-alone solutions. Contemporary working environments need to be flexible: from quiet surroundings where workers can focus to their use for meetings and as creative spaces.
Many exhibitors showcased solutions that also had the subject of health and ergonomics in mind, and other focused on the importance of acoustic systems that can be used in many different ways. ARCHYI showcased all that and more. And maybe that is why this trade show was a success for ARCHYI., visitors loved the products, complementing its quality and design and a lot of great opportunities came out from this year’s edition!
Multi-functionality was the base of all innovative solutions presented at Orgatec 2018. Writing whiteboard walls that are also closets or wardrobes, floating writing glass walls that can also serve as coat hangers, sound proof dividers that are space dividers and authentic design pieces.
ARCHYI Team was Proud and Grateful for Visitors’ Empathy
At ARCHYI. stand, PICO and DOURO were once again favorites, and the new VCB versatile multifunctional board (OSB as we “pet named it”) aroused visitor’s curiosity and interest. Everyone had a positive reaction to our products and stand, a space where we wanted to share clearly the inspiration behind each solution we were presenting – that was what we worked thoroughly for, and that was exactly what we think we were able to do.
The launching of the # What Inspires You challenge was another initiative that meant to encourage the sharing of experiences and inspiration during the event. But If you have not visited Orgatec, or if you have but did not notice our challenge, you can still participate until the end of November. Who knows if sharing what inspires you is not going to get you an interesting eBook on the Future of Office interiors and how interior concepts will help elevating workspaces in the future, in the worth of 70 €. If not for you, it can be a great gift for interior designers and architects, business owners, office managers… and Christmas is almost here. Give it a go in ARCHYI.’s challenge page.
For us it is now time to get back to work and grab the opportunities and possible partnerships that resulted from our participation on this trade show, so stay tuned for more ARCHYI. news.
We truly would like to thank everyone that visited our stand and got to know our solutions up-close. Hope to see you all soon, if not sooner at least at Orgatec 2020.
